Scholarships
At the Palestinian American Community Center, we currently offer 4 Annual scholarships:
1. Palestinian American Community Center Scholarship at Clifton High School
Application Deadline: Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 11:59 pm (no exceptions)
Up to 3 recipients are chosen each year with an awarded amount between $500 and $1,000 scholarship per recipient.
If you are a Clifton High School student and are active at PACC, apply below or make sure to talk to your guidance counselor about this scholarship.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Planning to enroll in full time 4 year university or college
- Arabic background
- Have community service experience, preferably in the PACC
- Demonstrate leadership qualities in and out of school
2. Ayman Hamdeh Community Service Scholarship
Application Deadline: Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 11:59 pm EST (no exceptions)

In October 2015, PACC launched their first ever scholarship in honor of Ayman Hamdeh’s memory. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and dear friend to many, passed away at the age of 32 on October 6, 2015. He left behind a wife and three children that were 11, 9, & 5 years old at the time. Ayman was one of the first supporters of the Palestinian American Community Center. He would always sign his children up for our programs and he would be the first to attend our many PACC events. To date these are our recipients.
Requirements:
1. Must be enrolled in a higher education University or College
2. Cumulative GPA must be over 3.2
3. Must provide a copy of unofficial transcript
4. Must be involved in some sort of community service
5. Must be giving back to the local Palestinian American community through the provision of social, cultural,
educational, athletic and recreational activities.
6. Per request of the Hamdeh Family, the recipient of the scholarship can not be a member of the Hamdeh family.

3. Dr. Sufian Mahmoud and Dr. Hala Elsamna Merit Scholarship

Drs. Sufian Mahmoud and Hala Elsamna, being recipients of numerous awards, value the importance and benefit of merit scholarships. Both dentists are 2nd generation Palestinians, Dr. Sufian from Beit Anan and Dr. Hala from Yaffa. Through their scholarship, the couple are providing Palestinian students with financial support to better the community at large. Together, both doctors have been and continue to be strong supporters of the Palestinian American Community Center.
Requirements:
1. Must be enrolled in a US accredited University (Bachelors or Graduate Degree)
2. Cumulative GPA must be over 3.5
3. Must be involved with PACC and the Palestinian American community through the provision of social, cultural, educational, athletic, and recreational activities.

4. Alkiswani Merit Scholarship

Ahmad & Laurelyn Alkiswani value education immensely as it provides individuals with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities needed to succeed in a competitive and ever-evolving world.
Ahmad Alkiswani from Bait Iksa while Laurelyn Alkiswani native to Belize believe a college education opens doors to better career opportunities, higher earning potential, and personal growth. It also fosters a deeper understanding of diverse perspectives, helps develop problem-solving skills, and encourages lifelong learning. Both are St. John’s University graduates holding master degrees during their continuous educational career.
