Dear PACC Community,
We want to share an important update regarding our planned Gaza Relief Drive, originally scheduled for Monday, November 17 to Friday, November 21. The contact we were working with to transport the container from Egypt into Gaza is no longer able to assist, and despite our team’s tireless efforts, we have not yet secured a guaranteed alternative. In the spirit of transparency and responsibility, we will be postponing the drive until further notice. We kindly ask that no items be dropped off next week and instead be held until we confirm when we can safely and reliably get your donations into Gaza. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we deeply appreciate your understanding, patience, and unwavering commitment to supporting our brothers and sisters in Gaza. We were also hopeful that a ceasefire would ease the process of transporting aid, but that has unfortunately not been the case—underscoring the urgent need for all of us to continue applying pressure on our elected officials for a real and lasting ceasefire and an end to occupation. In the meantime, we invite you to join us at our upcoming PACC Conference this Sunday, November 16th, from 2 PM to 9 PM. It will be an important space for learning, community connection, and action. نود مشاركتكم تحديثًا مهمًا بخصوص حملة جمع التبرعات لغزة التي كانت مقررة في 17–21 نوفمبر. المؤسسة التي كنا نتعامل معه لتنسيق دخول الحاوية من مصر إلى غزة لم تعد قادرًه على المساعدة، نقل الشحنه وعلى الرغم من جهودنا المستمرة، لم نتمكن حتى الآن من تأمين بديل مضمون.
ومن منطلق الشفافية والمسؤولية، سنقوم بتأجيل الحملة حتى إشعار آخر. نرجو منكم عدم إحضار أي تبرعات الأسبوع القادم والاحتفاظ بها حتى نحدد موعدًا جديدًا يمكننا فيه إيصال المساعدات بشكل آمن وفعّال. نعتذر عن أي إزعاج قد يسببه هذا القرار، ونقدّر تفهّمكم وصبركم ودعمكم الدائم لأهلنا في غزة.
كنا نأمل أن يساهم وقف إطلاق النار في تسهيل إدخال المساعدات، ولكن ذلك لم يتحقق للأسف—وهو تذكير بضرورة مواصلة الضغط على المسؤولين المنتخبين لتحقيق وقف إطلاق نار حقيقي ودائم وإنهاء الاحتلال.
وفي هذه الأثناء، ندعوكم للمشاركة في مؤتمر مركز الجالية الفلسطينية يوم الأحد، 16 نوفمبر، من الساعة 2 ظهرًا حتى 9 مساءً. سيكون مساحة مهمة للتعلّم والتواصل والبناء.
