​Poetry Competition

PACC’s Poetry Competition​
Words From the Heart – كلمات من القلب
Calling all English & Arabic writers: this is your opportunity to shine and showcase your writing talent.

PACC will announce a theme for the competition and participants are asked to present a piece based on that specific theme.

This season’s theme is “IDENTITY” – How do you identify? Where does your Identity come from? How does you identity inspire you?  etc.

Submission date will start on February 4th

Submission deadline: March 15, 2019

The competition will be broken down by age groups:
11 years old and under
12 – 15 years old
16 – 18 years old
19 + years old
There will be a panel of judges selected by PACC to choose the first place. Prizes will be handed out at various PACC events. First place winners get published in PACC’s literary magazine! Competition is open to people of all backgrounds and ages.
Rules:
  • Poems MUST be between 10 to 40 lines, poems over 40 lines will automatically be disqualified
  • Poems can be written in English or Arabic
  • Poets are encouraged to follow any writing style they prefer
  • Limit one submission per person
